ThyssenKrupp AG is a German multinational conglomerate which focuses on industrial engineering and steel production. The company is based in Duisburg and Essen and divided into 670 subsidiaries worldwide.
ThyssenKrupp selected BSSLPS to upgrade the lighting at their Alexandria distribution facility. The existing 400w Metal Halide fittings were replaced with Australian made 130w Pro LED High Bays and were installed under the NSW IPART scheme.
Manager Steve Divic stated "The decision to choose BSSLPS was very easy to make as they worked with us to install a sample light for a two-month trial. This along with the free lighting design to Australian Standards gave us confidence that the final installation would meet our expectations. The result is that the new lights are a tremendous improvement over the old fittings and more importantly the installation was carried out without any disruption to our operations".
The upgrade will save ThyssenKrupp an estimated $3,888 per annum through reduced electricity bills with additional savings coming from the zero maintenance requirements of the new install.
